The IU8 lending center has a myriad of STEM-related instructional tools and equipment for all classrooms. The encourage student-centered approach to learning that promotes curiosity, creativity, artistic expression, collaboration, communication, problem solving, critical thinking and design thinking. These resources have been purchased for IU8 districts and libraries through partnerships with the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, UPMC, and CSB2 Ecosystem (funded by PAsmart Advancing Grant). These tools and resources are a great compliment to any classroom to help create STEM fluent and STEM skilled citizens.
Online trainings are available throughout the winter and spring.
